Santa Clara University has launched an open national search for its first chief diversity officer, a vice president position that was created following the recommendations of the University's Blue Ribbon Commission on Diversity and Inclusion (2016), the Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion (2017) and the Campus Climate Survey Report (2018). The new position will foster deeper collaboration with other divisions represented on the Cabinet and will cultivate strategic alignment on matters of diversity and inclusion across the University. The President appointed a search committee with the responsibility of identifying, screening and recommending candidates to him while also engaging broadly with the University community in the search process. The search firm WittKieffer will assist the committee in the recruitment and screening of candidates. Throughout the search process, the committee will periodically update the University community.
